Filtermist Cyclonic Swarf Separator

The Filtermist Cyclonic Swarf Separator is for FX-900 and FX-1200 Filtermist units only and cannot be used in direct-mount applications.

The Filtermist Cyclonic Swarf Separator is perfect for use in applications that produce solid particles, such as wet grinding dust and cast iron fines. It is also great for high-speed aluminum milling, which typically generates light, fly-away chips. The separator's cyclonic action effectively removes solid particles, ensuring that only mist is drawn into the Filtermist unit. This also makes it an ideal pre-filter for high pressure coolant applications, as well as reducing maintenance in challenging scenarios like heavy grinding. The unit easily attaches to the bottom of the Filtermist and features a 6" diameter intake port on the side. 5ft. of return hose is included for continuous draining, and the two-piece design allows for easy cleaning. Please note that the cyclonic swarf separator should not be used in purely dry applications and reduces the throughput of the Filtermist unit by approximately 300 cfm.
